Scaredy Cat

I hate it when I feel like there's someone else in the house when both Maya and I are in the room. Every time when I get home from anywhere, only when Faliq's not around, I will spot check the ENTIRE house. All bedrooms, store room, bathrooms, behind the shower curtain, UNDER MY BED; every corner of this house! I will switch on almost all lights and fans just to make my self not feel all alone with Maya in this HUGE space. I hope this feeling will go away soon because I really don't like you -- feeling.

Four Eyes

Yeayyyyy.. Hubby got me a new pair of glasses!

I’ve been wearing glasses since 1999. Yep, it was that long ago! I remember getting all excited when the optometrist told me that I have to wear glasses. I was too anxious the night before getting it from the optical that I couldn’t sleep. I thought glasses equals cool. YEAH RIGHT!

Now, my eye sight is HORRIBLE. It gets worst every single year. LITERALLY! It’s even worst than my mothers and I thought my mother is “blind”. I can’t live without my glasses or contacts and if I can’t afford them I would need a walking stick just like ‘em blinds. *sniff*

However, with vision needing glasses (I can’t work with just contacts), I love shopping for the perfect frame (almost every few years). Shopping for an ideal spectacles is MUY IMPORTANTE. It’s like choosing your perfect bridal dress! I almost will get black frames because, we all know, black is the easiest matcher. Note to all glasses wearers, please take time shopping for one and this is the time you must SPLURGE. I think there’s nothing wrong buying a little expensive ones because, because there’s no reason why we shouldn’t.

I had Chanel previously and this time it’s Prada. This is my second cycle of Prada :)

I work a lot in front of the computer and wearing contacts defines bothersome. Since I must wear makeup to work, obviously lately I’ve been applying my make up in blind. Therefore, I have an easy, car-friendly, makeup routine every morning. Yup I am a pro at applying makeup blindly while driving through traffic. Cautious to all ladies who are or will be attempting this.

I shall share with y’all my makeup routine in my next post. If any are interested.

Till then~

I FINALLY DID IT!

I passed my Module 7 exam and I have now a dealer representative license. Woohooo….

I passed the exam only with one sit unlike Module 6 where I passed after taking it three times.

I thought studying after having a baby would be easier for me since, I thought, my brain would memorize facts better. The truth is it was harder studying when there’s a baby to look after for!

Being the typical me, studying is always best (yeah right) last minute. I tell my self and others the reason why I study last minute is because the things I’ve studied few days before the DAY is fresher than if I were to start studying a month ago. This is true! I tend to forget or get facts all jumbled up if I start studying wayyy before an exam. However, studying the day or two days prior to the exam is not enough to comprehend and memorize every single thing that I need just to PASS the exam. :/

But whatever, I studied for 1 ½ solid days for this exam and I PASSED MY MODULE 7! Yeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (thank god I have my in-laws to watch after Maya)

When the facilitator hand me my certificate, I was too close to tears. I wasn’t near like that when I was up the stage getting my Bachelors Degree. :)

This exam was really important to me because the not-so-nice-lady-boss at work would have my head on a chopper block if I failed. P.s. I can always re-sit the exam if I failed but this wasn’t an option for me since Mr. smarty-pants-at-work didn’t fail. :/

How Good Are You With Nursery Rhymes?

Who me?
Yes you.
Ermmmm…(O.o)

Parenting.com sent me an email on “6 Classic Games Every Parent Should Know.”

These are the ones recommended for Maya’s age category.

Pat-a-Cake (2 months and up)

“This is easy for young babies to follow, and as yours starts trying to clap and play along, his coordination and motor skills will get a boost.”

This Little Piggy (2 months and up)

“Along with prediction and memory skills, your baby will learn about his body.”

Where Is Thumbkin? (4 months and up)

“Babies get a lesson in object permanence, prediction, and body parts. The melody helps young children follow the words.”

The question now, do I know any of these?

Pat-a-Cake - CHECK (thank god for my little cousin’s obsession with Barney & Friends)

This Little Piggy – Errr.. I’ve heard my mom singing it a lot to my younger cousins but I was never able to capture its lyric.

Where Is Thumbkin? – I DON’T KNOWWWWWWWW

I’m a horrible mother! *cries*

I googled baby nursery rhymes and I am shocked to find out that there are EXTREMELY a LOT that I don’t know. *eekkkk*

I got to get my groove on so I can put up a show for my Princess Star :)

This Little Piggy

This little piggy went to market,

This little piggy stayed home,

This little piggy had roast beef,

This little piggy had none,

And this little piggy cried,

"Wee, wee, wee."

All the way home.

Where is Thumbkin?

Where is Thumbkin?
Where is Thumbkin?

Where is Thumbkin?

Here I am, here I am.

How are you today?

Very well, thank you.

Go away, go away.

Where is Pointer?
Where is Pointer?

Here I am, here I am.

How are you today?

Very well, thank you.

Go away, go away.

Where is Ring Man?
Where is Ring Man?

Here I am, here I am.

How are you today?

Very well, thank you.

Go away, go away.

Where is Small Man?
Where is Small Man?

Here I am, here I am.

How are you today?

Very well, thank you.

Go away, go away.

But first, I need to get on youtube and find out what’s the tune for “Where is Thumbkin?”

YEAY Youtube!

Love Scent

This morning, when I spritz some of my perfume, its beautiful floral scent brought me back to my gorgeous wedding day. Like any normal bride-to-be, I did countless internet and magazines browsing to give me ideas for a wedding come true. I came upon an article suggesting brides to purchase a never-owned-before perfume for our EXTRAORDINARY special occasion. Since our wedding is a once in a lifetime adventure, a lovely scent would be a sweet reminder of that time when we said our I Do. No time was wasted; I went straight to the mall and began my treasure hunt. I was soon introduced to J’Adore L’Eau Cologne Florale by Dior and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with its scent. I did an excellent job scouting for it since the fragrance fits perfectly with my garden theme wedding and not to mention the emotions I was feeling that day *melts*. Today, like this morning, the moment the perfume made its way into my nostrils, tiny little butterflies lingered in my belly happily just like they did 1 year 4 months ago.

If only those killer legs came with the perfume *sigh*

Do share this with any brides-to-be out there!

Seriously...

Please ladies. For the love of god, PUH-leaseeeee, dress appropriately for work unless required (if ya know what I mean ;p). Don’t try too hard to look good and ending up looking all Hoochie Mama! Not that I have anything against it; you can dress up as hoochie as you want only after office hours. I think the shortest hemline for skirts/dresses is right above the knee. At least put some tights on if you decide to go slightly shorter :). Yes, us women do love the attention when we are all dressed up, but do you SERIOUSLY want a different kind of stare? Nope, I don’t think so. So let’s us all gorgeous creatures stick by this rule and be a fabulous women that we are.
