I blogged about baking Funfetti Cupcakes last week? Well, it did not happen because I got home late that night and it was time to put Maya and me to bed ;p
Will blog about it once I finally bake them!

Weekly Favorites
I hate to see a NOT updated blog, it drives me up the wall after happily clicking on one of my many favorite websites and BANG (literally shot in the chest)-- the same freaking post for the past x days/weeks/months etc!
I don't know if you feel the same way when you hop by here *nervous laugh* but I sure as hell feel the same way even when I visit my own blog (hehe..yeah, for some reason I have an obsession with going through my older posts over and OVER again)*oh Miss Cheeks, please don't blush*
I mean, I do have things to blog about but I don't have the drive like many bloggers out there.
Thank you dear bloggers for updating your blogs, I love reading them!
I'll try to blog as often as I should be as a "blogger".
Oh God, I honestly don't want to know how many times I've said that here but let's just pretend this is my first time saying it. *blowing you my special kisses* Teehee..
So how are you liking my favorites this week?
Hope you are inspired.

Lasik Pretty Please! (c:
I've been wanting Lasik since I knew of its existence. The only thing stopping me from getting it done is the Dinero, heh what a surprise eh? *rolls eyes*
Since I'm having a pretty bad headache at the moment (stupid contacts), I did a little Bing (yeah, we're such losers; we don't have Google) and I found this :-
Pregnancy and nursing: Pregnancy commonly causes fluctuating vision. Therefore, measurements taken during pregnancy may not lead to a stable, accurate correction, once the baby is born. The same is true for nursing. Furthermore, laser vision correction necessitates the use of antibiotic and steroid eye drops, both of which should be avoided by pregnant and nursing women for fear of harming the baby. Consequently, laser vision correction can only be performed after the baby is born, nursing has stopped, and regular menstrual cycles have resumed.

Well now we know! I mean, like I said, I don't have the Vitamin M yet but what if I do and I just found this out, I'll be uber BUMPED!
Hopefully Not A Forever Four-Eyes Mommy

Homemade Funfetti Cupcakes
Our department is having a potluck open house this friday and since payday is not till that very same day, I was on a hunt for something that I can contribute without hurting my pocket. I have about 90% of the ingredients which make this pretty thing a GO.
Wish me luck!
p/s: I have not yet own the Kitchenaid Mixer, but thank god for my mommy's trusted hand mixer which is at least 17 years old *blink blink* Used it for my Almond London Cookies (Yeap, I baked something for Raya!!) and the thing is still working. *phew*

16 Months & Counting
Maya Suraya turned 16 months old past weekend and here are some things that she can do thus far.
Maya can’t speak yet but her comprehension is quite impressive to me. She understands us and when she’s in a good mood, she’ll do what she’s told to do. Here are some examples;-
(1) “Maya, where’s your shoes? Go get your shoes; we’re going out.” She will go to the door (her shoes are parked by the main entrance) to get the shoes and she’ll have anyone of us to help her put it on.
(2) “Maya, where’s your water?” and she will go get her water tumbler.
(3) “Where’s Mama/Dada/Atok/Omah etc?” and she’ll point out.
(4) “Sit down Maya”
(5) “Where’s Maya?” and she’ll point to her self.
(6) “Maya turn round and round and round” and she’ll twirl.
(7) She’ll dance when we tell her to dance
(8) She’ll give us a cheeky smile when we ask her to smile
(9) She’ll give us kisses when we ask for it.
(10)She’ll brush her teeth using her index finger when we sing “This is the way I brush my teeth…”
(11)She'll pick up her toys and put them away when we sing "Pick up all your toys and put it in the basket..." - Thanks to Gymboree =D
….and the list goes on.
She also knows some of her body parts. Such as:-
(1) Eyes
(2) Nose – We usually ask her to pinch her nose and she’ll do it
(3) Mouth
(4) Tongue – She will stick it out and make a sound that sounds like “lo lolololo”
(5) Ears – She’s almost getting this. If she’s focused, she’ll pull both her ears.
She has some favorite songs
(1) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – She’ll do the hand gestures
(2) Elmo’s Song – She’s obsessed with Elmo/Sesame Street. Everytime she sees an Ipad, she’ll say “La La”. Thank god for youtube.
(3) 1 2 3 4 – The Feist and Sesame Street
(4) Elmo & Gabby – Fun At Home
Vocabulary
(1) Melk – Milk
(2) Menana – Banana
(3) Mama – I address my self as mommy but she still says Mama
(4) Dada – It’s supposed to be Daddy. She gets so excited when she sees her “Dada!”
(5) Shhhh – Shoes
(6) Wow
(7) O’ oh
(8) Yes – She uses this sometimes
(9) Allah – Pelat version
If she sees anything foreign on the floor, she’ll pick it up and give it to the grown up. She still sleeps with us and I love it (YEAY co-sleeping). I’m still breastfeeding her; she wakes up few times every night. She doesn’t like formula milk. She’ll pull her shirt up (most of the time) to signal us that she pooped. She eats almost anything we give her (YEAY!).
She’s a JOY and I am too proud to witness a MIRACLE.
Alhamdulillah.
Always Proud Mommy/Mama

Half A Century
My mommy turned 50 last September 17th! Wow, she has made it to 5 series :O
Alhamdulillah.
Mommy & Aza -- Taken on her birthday. She looks great for a 50!
I wish I was there for her big-50; I wish I could take her for a shopping spree around the globe (a little impossible I know ;p), after all that shopping I would treat her a big feast at an exquisite restaurant in Paris (or wherever the birthday girl wishes) and ending the day in bed cuddling with her. Plus, since it is her fiftieth birthday, I would splurge on her the best-est spa to ease her fatigue self the next day.
Oh I wish!
Thank you Allah for giving my mommy another year and please bless her with abundance of health, wealth, love and happiness.
Ameen.

Who Is That In Kebaya?
That would be this MOMMY!!
It's almost the end of Thursday and tomorrow we're OFF!!
*heyyyyyyyy..MACARENA*
I've never worn baju melayu almost everyday in my entire life (minus high school days) and I kind of like it =D.
Since it is still Eid here in Malaysia, it's a norm for corporations to held a banquet for their clients. This week alone I've been to three Open Houses and two of them were held in Dewan Perdana Felda; I ate the same exact dish (lamb) within 24 hours! LOL...
There are more invitations next week and yes, one of them will be in Felda. Oh boy *gulp*.
Hope you have an awesome break.
If you're a Malaysian, Happy Malaysia Day!!

Farah's Weekly Favorites
This will be my weekly post because...because I say so. =D
Almost everyday I browse through various websites (if I'm not busy of course ;p) and fall completely inlove with anything and everything beautiful; why not share with you pictures of my favorites for the week since owning them will hardly come true.
Peter Som
LOVE the color; LOVE the flow; LOVE the prints; LOVE the turquoise heels. L-O-L-O V-E!
Christian Louboutin Lady Glittered Peep-Toe I would wear this baby for one of my many outfit change stage tour ;p.
Vera Wang Lovestruck
Ain't this pretty? I haven't gotten the chance to smell this gorg but a mixture of Pink Guava, Mandarin, Tuberose, Lotus Blossom, Precious Woods, Sheer Musk sounds pretty nice to me. This bottle will look great sitting on my vanity table. FABULOSITY!
Man, I got to cut this short because I got to go!
I'll make sure I'll have more next time. "Buying" only THREE items per week is NOT acceptable. Teehee.. =p

Hairstylist To The Rescue?
Faliq's Aunty M got married last Friday and just as we entered our hotel room, my MIL passed me her cellphone and it was the bride-to-be on the other end; she asked me to help do her because her initial plan to go to the salon was not ideal as the traffic in KK can get pretty bad on a Friday evening. YIKES!
I was mortified but agreed and warned her that I'm not good but I'll try my super best. I told her what I needed (almost confidently) and after having a look at the picture she sent through Aunty F's cell, I thought "Ok, not difficult. Boleh la".
Fast forward that day, as the bride sat on the chair in front of me, I read some prayers, took THE biggest breath and worked my magic?
KABOOM!
I think I did a-okay after my third try. Aunty M said it's nice or maybe she had no choice but to say so since rushing to the nearest salon was nothing near possible. Nevertheless, I think she looked great and I'm quite impressed with my self :p
I want to learn how to do hair professionally not (maybe) for making extra money purposes but for last-minute-back-up plan purposes. Teehee..
I know Faliq doesn't agree with this idea (I've suggested); but, but I have always wanted to Sayang =D

YEAY Yeay RAYA!!
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!!
Raya has been great thus far. We were in KL for the 1st day and went to Muar (FIL's side) on the 2nd day.
Here are some of our Raya pictures.
Raya Theme 2011 :p
1st day - Grey. Maya and I wore Kebaya Nyonya that I found in Ampang Park. Yeay to that!
2nd day - Polka dots. Got Maya's at Ampang Park for RM70 (I know rite, EXPENSIVE!). Japenese cotton though so I guess it's "normal", no?
I found mine at Jln TAR on the last day of Ramadhan. NOTE TO SELF: Do NOT go there in the day time when you're fasting!! However, glad I got it for RM50. The quality aint great but hey, we MATCHED!

Amsterdam
Early August my family and I went to Florida for my sister's graduation. Amsterdam was our transit hub and we ended spending a night there because we couldn't get any flight out to Atlanta, GA; that's what happen when travelling on a standby ticket with ZILCH priority.
Amsterdam City is beautiful, a little dirty but which city center isn't. I would visit again for a proper vacation.
The only thing I don't like about Netherlands/Holland is their PEOPLE!! They are the rudest, I repeat, THE RUDEST people EVER! I thought Malaysia's hospitality is bad but Netherlands' customer service is non-existent! Just HORRIBLE! ESPECIALLY KLM STAFFS! I will never ever ever EVER fly with KLM! Schipol airport staffs are equally evil!
Have you been to Netherlands? If yes, do you agree or disagree?
