This coming Friday, October 1st 2010, I will celebrate my one year anniversary of career-life since graduation. I’ve learnt so much about Equities Broking, particularly Direct Market Access (DMA). I’ve enjoyed and hated my stay here :/.
Why hate?
I have a psycho as my boss of course. I’m still on my probationary period! ONE FREAKING YEAR?!?!?!?!?! Many months ago, she said, if I were to pass my Module 6 exam, she’ll confirm me. I passed it, and many months later, I’m still on probationary. I seriously want to share every single detail on here but that’s just going to upset me and I don’t want to go there.
Anyhoos, for the past one year, I’ve been recycling my work clothes. The pants that I’m wearing today is what I wore back in University for my presentations. The top I have on is at least two years old or older. The only “new” thing I have on me is my faded black cardigan. It was black when I purchased it but I wore it one too many times since this is my only, I repeat, my ONLY black cardigan.
A glimpse or worst, the thought of my pitiful work wardrobe makes me puke a little in my mouth. I’m sick and tired of the same ol’ shit I put on everyday. It’s too depressing. I have the urge of dumping them all away but I can’t because I will be left with nothing to wear for work. I hate them so much that I don’t iron them unless I REALLY need to. I feel embarrassed sometimes, well all the time, when I see my black top do NOT match my black pants because they’ve both faded into two different colors. *blink*
Therefore, I avoid wearing black with black or red with red (not that I would) etc.
I envy looking at girls in pretty work outfit. It’s not that I don’t have taste in fashion (I think :p); I tend to spend my money elsewhere.
I’ve been going online lately and check out brands that sell work-worthy clothes. I saw some nice ones at Dorothy Perkins and Zara.
I SERIOUSLY need to do myself a favor and go SHOPPING!
Maybe, with my new outfits, I’ll be a little more motivated for work.
Maybe..
i think we should go together..ive the same issue..

I know some one who wud love to go shopping with u - budak yang baru kawin tu. By the way, i think no matter how many times u re-use ur old clothes, u still look pretty lah.
ReplyDeleteNass: I know we should. You're starting Monday! Weeee
ReplyDeleteIezan: You worked in a bank and now you're baking. How FUN! On9 shopping is fun to browse but with my kind of body I MUST try the clothes to make sure it fits me perfectly. Banyak baju cantik, cantik on hangers, not badan mak org :(
Peanut: Shopping with is fun. Actually, I dah lamaaaaaaaa gila tak shop with her tau. I don't think I've been shopping with her here in KL :/
